"Touch of the Brush" is an installation designed and built by the Denver Art Museum in support of the Inspiring Impressionism exhibit that is being featured in Atlanta, Denver and Seattle during 2007-2008.
My portion of the project involved developing the MacOSX-based multitouch user interface to their specification. Some of the most interesting parts of the project included integrating with the C++ vision detection system, efficiently displaying high-resolution (approx. 100MB) images in response to user input, and providing a variety of animation effects (ripples, swooshes, 3D cube turns, etc) that were ultimately not used in the final product.
(Please note that the stuttering in the video is caused by an issue with the vision detection system, not the performance of the application. A demo will eagerly be provided!)
